Session Overview

Planning for Connected Intelligent Buildings

Track: Planning & Procuring Connected Buildings
Wednesday May/23/2007
13:30 - 14:45

The planning cycle of a connected building is perhaps the most critical. Starting with the purpose of the building, and the strategies and needs of the building owners, a team is typically put together to evolve the concept of the building, the needs of the owner and occupants, followed by an outline specification for the building. Only after this should the design of the structure and systems of the building be considered in partnership with all stakeholders.

The session will highlights the key steps in this process, presented by experts that have a deep understanding of the possibilities and pitfalls of constructing a future-proof and flexible facility that will meet and exceed the expectations of the owners.
