This track will allow attendees to discover a number of new angles for building systems and the convergence with IT and other systems and devices in today's enterprise centric organizations.

Drivers for Building Lifecycle Integrations

9:00 - 10:30

As a new view starts to emerge on how we design, build and operate buildings, it is important to review the trends and drivers for a holistic view of our buildings, from a total life cycle perspective.

This session will review current issues, presented by key experts from the industry, who have between them years of experience and a front-line view of the changes occurring in the building industry.

New Tools & Ideas for Buildings 2.0

11:00 - 12:30

From the beginning of BuilConn in 2003, there have been a number of sessions that have uncovered new tools and technologies that could bring significant value to the process of designing and implementing convergend and integrated building systems.

This session will be focused on a number of ideas, products, solutions and tools that integrators of building systems will find beneficial in their pursuit of Buildings 2.0.

Presenters:

Connectivity in Emergency & Critical Management

14:00 - 15:30

A critical value of connectivity in buildings is its application in emergency situations. The information contained within buildings can, if connected and made available using reliable infrastructure and information standards, provide timely and actionable data for emergency responders.

This session will discuss the potential links, and how this can be made possible.

Presenters:

Digital Signage for Service & Revenue Opportunities

16:00 - 17:30

The availability of networked digital displays is providing building owners, designers and operators with a new and exciting tool to improve many applications within buildings. From emergency notification, to better tenant experience, the possibilities that emerge when displays are connected to the building system is immense.

Top of mind are revenue generating applications, which in many cases provide easy justifications for the installation of such systems, while providing additional easier justification for non-revenue applications.
