This 3-hour session will provide attendees with a good understanding of the following subjects:
• HVAC (Heating Ventilation Air-Conditioning)
• Access Control Systems
• CCTV and Digital Video Systems
• Lighting control systems
• Integration of systems, including the use of Gateways
• Open Systems standards including LONWORKS and BACnet
• Basic information on how the building systems industry operates

As IT starts to become pervasive in building systems, this 3-hour session will provide building owners, consultants and Architects with key information and knowledge about how technologies such as TCP/IP, XML, web services are being used in buildings.

Information provided at this session is technical, but focuses on the relevance and application of such technologies in buildings rather than detailed technology education.

Attendees will conclude this session with a well rounded understanding on the impact of technology to buildings.
